Berkeley scientist in a previous incarnation, American-born Jed Curtis came
to the film world as a pianist at the side of the famous jazz musician Chet
Baker.
Since the sixties, he has starred in a variety of films, including "The
Cardinal", by Otto Preminger and John Huston's "Reflections in a Golden
Eye".
In 1991 he starred in "Muro di Gomma" which was hailed as the "best
Italian film of the 90's". Next came "Rochade" by Peter Patzak
and
"The Return" by Jens Jorgen Thorsen. He also starred as Sam in the
Oscar nominated "Fear" by Gilbert Fazi. In Joel Schumacher's
"Batman Forever" he shone in his role as Chubby beside co-stars Jim
Carrey and Val Kilmer. He also appeared in Alain Tanner's Oscar nominated "Fourbi".
Jed Curtis has acted in several films in Germany, including "Loosers"
(1995), "Candy" (2000) with Bobby Roth and "Vienna" (2000)
by Peter Gersina. This linguistically gifted actor has appeared in many television
productions and this year he also began teaching at the German Acting Academy
(DAS).
He plays the part of Colonel Green in the film TAKING SIDES by István Szabó.
